On March 17, 2017, ALG secured a solid defeat of the UFCW for our meat-packing and distribution client in New Jersey by a vote of 6-2 in favor of the company. ALG drew on the experience of its lead Spanish-speaking consultant to reach a group of non-English speaking employees, and convince them undoubtedly that the UFCW was not the right choice for their situation. ALG implemented intense labor training on the National Labor Relations Act to educate the employees about the real facts. They were able to secure 75% of the votes in a small unit. Elections involving voting units of less than 10 people are often very difficult, but ALG came through in a big way.
